Designed by Geoffery de Havilland, the celebrated DH2 was penned while he was employed as a test pilot and aircraft designer with the Aircraft Manufacturing Company (AMC) at Hendon. The DH2 actually conceived almost eighteen months prior to the arrival of the 'Eindekker' monoplane.
