Get Ready for Making Tracks 3 at Chester Cathedral! This summer, the highly anticipated interactive model railway exhibition Making Tracks 3 returns to Chester Cathedral. This year’s layout is a 154-foot long and more complex than ever before. Sponsored by Chester Model Centre amongst others* and supported by Pete Waterman OBE, Mike Wild of Key Publishing and The Railnuts modelling group. With interactive elements sure to keep kids and adults alike entertained, the exhibition promises to be an unforgettable experience running from 26th July to 2nd September (Mondays-Saturdays). Making Tracks 3 is coming to Chester!

Making Tracks is set to return to Chester in the summer of 2023! Chester Model Centre is delighted to once again sponsor Making Tracks, an interactive model railway installation, which features scale models of iconic stretches of the UK's railways. It is curated by record producer and songwriter Pete Waterman OBE, alongside The Railnuts modelling group who are busy working on some new additions to layout as the next 10(ish) months will go quickly.

After seven weeks, Making Tracks 2 has come to an end. Thank you everyone who built, installed and volunteered - a true labour of love. Records were broken and a lot of money was raised for Chester Cathedral. At this point, we WANT to be able to tell you that we got the green light for Making Tracks 3 this Christmas, BUT...
